Center Lift Point on a 124 Spider

You can generally lift a stiff unibody car anywhere along its pinch welds so long as you use a pinch weld protector. You can pick up my favorite pinch weld protectors here -► https://amzn.to/3D4lROZ
 
Armed with this knowledge, you can usually find a spot to lift your car near its balance point, lifting both tires on that side off the ground. This makes swapping wheels or rotating tires much easier.
 
The main trouble you’ll run into when looking for alternative lift points for your car is there might be body or trim pieces in the way. You have to be very cognizant of this to not damage your trim.
 
Fortunately on the 124 there is a sweet spot where you can lift the car near its balance point where the side skirts aren’t in the way. See the video below for how to do it.
