I missed out on the Emira launch party when it came to Austin the first time, as they decided to do it during Thanksgiving! Inconsiderate Brits… I am very grateful I was able to get a test drive when it came back through this time.
Hi Tech Motorcars had the Emira for only a few days, but they made good use of their time. First showing it off at their exclusive Espressos & Exotics show, and then at Texas All British Car Days the following day. I was able to squeeze in my test drive the day after.
I was a little disappointed in the route. There is a scenic road near the dealership, but the fellow from Lotus was adamant about us just getting on the highway. Still, it was a very informative test drive.
Anyone who has driven an Evora GT will find the Emira very familiar. It feels much the same, maybe slightly improved. It’s very subjective, but I think the Emira improves on the looks over the Evora quite a bit.
